Literally all the stanbases do this when their faves start to flop. I really don't think it's exclusive to Monsters. It's just that there are (or at least
were; I think some of the bandwagoners might have left) more Monsters on this site, so there are more meltdowns to be had.
The differences between the types and actions of people in different stanbases are grossly overstated here. I don't think there's all that much that separates, say, the Monsters and the Animals.
