Umm Kworb plz. You can be open to different language and still realize that lyrics > vocals 90% of the time.
You can listen to all genres in the world, but a song that you can perfectly understand will always hit harder.
But then again, vocal delivery can outweigh any other elements at time I just dislike stripping down and discussing music formula cauz it's subjective, and debates are almost never fruitful
No way, what hits is the music, the sound, the emotion, the tone.
Lyrics don't make a song good or bad. But they can make a good song better.

Umm, we know that song is more eyeconic than any Christdonna song and give her credit for it. It's a great Xmas song. We're just talking about the way the Gaga stans cling now that she's over.

Christmas doesn't seem to be dying any time soon, and neither is Mariah's song.
It's basically a legendary Christmas carol.
Groups of middle aged women will be singing the song at shelters 40 years from now, while nobody will be singing about Grandma her L U V.
My art teacher still references Madonna stuff (her ICONIC videos and quotes) she's one of the most memorable people in the world whereas no one knows or cares about Mariah. The only people that talked about (or know) about Mariah are people who pretended to like her during American Idol to bandwagon on the Nicki hate (which the hate for Nicki has decreased a lot since then)
