I felt so bad when Gags talked so passionately about the app. Like she was out-of-touch with how people consume music. Everybody knew it was gonna be useless, no one needs or wants to start up a seperate app to listen to her music
Rihanna has no artistic credibility but I don't blame her for not trying. She has it pretty good right now- she has the best songwriters/ producers out now. All her singles are written formulaically so the hook is repetitive and gets stuck in your head. Her A&R's are also great in selecting the sound. WFL was perfect for 2011's dance pop. Diamonds and Stay were perfect choices for 12/13 and the indie pop sound that's trying to push its way in as a trend. Def Jam basically has a hit factory run for her.
Remember when Rihanna fans implied that she was a good performer because she realized she could sing easy songs half decently while staying still and not attempting to "dance"?

I remember when she told everybody to get an ipad for (last! ) Christmas so they could enjoy the app
Songwriting is overrated. In pop I only respect the producers.
Both are just as central as each other.
Lots of well produced songs have been ruined by the lyrics (Katy's entire discography), while lots of decently written songs have been ruined by the production.

Well, she has a better live voice than your fave so...
