I'm not saying that its a bad thing that she's not involved. It just makes you look incredibly dumb to think that Rihanna is that involved when they have to hire 47 cowriters for one album.
Well, being involved doesn't necessarily entail writing a song. She could say what musical direction she wants the album to be, which is basically what she says she does in all of her interviews. Her executive producer credits agree too.
It's not like artistic involvement matters that much tho (to me). If there was news that Gaga didn't write a note on TFM it wouldn't change my perception of it
Hmm it affects my perception of the artist much moreso than the work itself.
Circus was Britney's most personal album and one of her best imo. It had a nice balance of dance-pop tracks and reflective midtempos/ballads. The lyrics were not cliche club-ready like on ITZ and Blackout. The vocals were not robotic or vile as usual. Why do they pitch up her voice to have that chipmunk effect I will never understand. Britney's real voice is actually very low.
I have actually never heard a real Britney vocal.. But I agree Circus is well balanced and it had something exciting to it ... I love ITZ simply cause of Everytime and Toxic
