You guys have to remember that the Black Eyed Peas weren't critical darlings either. The Beggining had a 47 score, The END 60, and Monkey Business 48. Critics just love to hate on them and mix that with Britney and you have a Metacritic disaster. Yes, it stings a little bit but this completely meaningless. I really think the score is rather unfair as well but I enjoy the music so this doesn't matter to me all that much. Teenage Dream and The END both ended up with Album of the Year nominations at the Grammys so I'd take reviews with a grain of salt.
I can't at ppl thinking these reviews are useless. Opinion leaders play an important part in shaping pop culture. And of course not everyone out there knows that Brit has an album out.
I don't think the album is THIS bad tho.
ETA: i see where a lot of ppl are coming from, but again not the whole world is on atrl. U need to put urself in the shoes of an average Joe.
I mean the album is far from good, but it's not THAT bad either.
