Seeing Britney Jean's performance kinda makes Bionic look less tragic than it was. At least on a global scale. Pretty sure WB & NMT were hits of equal magnitude and yet Bionic still managed top 10 debuts in most major markets without any overseas promotion and being released in the summer.
The only place where it has no excuse is the US cuz here it really did get promo. American Idol Finale, Letterman, Today Show, MTV Movie Awards, Oprah & a Vh1 documentary.
Lorde needs promo, she should be on every TV show right now in Europe and America....they're trying to go with the Adele strategy but they're losing so many sales.
When I enter in the Britney jean thread or the metascore thread for the album, I don't see her fans "resigned themselves to floppage" so you tried but no, she'll still get dragged to the pits of hell

The gap closing in between week 1 and week 8. I can't wait for the #s after the Grammys.
As if the Grammys will do anything a "real-music!!!1!!!1!" indie smash hit won't. face it, Lorde-rida has had her microsecond of fame and will now fizzle away like the watered-down female Gotye she is.
