Even in the US though, she sold a million albums, which is more than almost every other female + has tons of internet/tumblr/social media buzz. It makes complete sense.

Lana's success is pretty significant. Her album had sold a lot even before Summertime Sadness took off. That song was kind of just the icing on the cake.

If she ever gets a really huge hit in today's market, she'll sell a vast amount of millions.

I didn't like her at all when she debuted but she grew on me. Summertime Sadness, Dark Paradise, Diet Mountain Dew, American, Blue Jeans >>>.
