I hate when pop rivalries are sensationalized by stans & media. However, I will say that in general, most of the pop girls's chart performance is disappointing. Katy is the best success story overall, with PRISM selling faster than Teenage Dream despite Unconditonally underperforming. She also collected one of her biggest hits with Roar.
Miley is another big success story but her sales aren't matching her hype. Bangerz just went gold.
Gaga has had a terrible year with sales.
Britney is a pop music legend so it doesn't matter, but her sales will be down as well.
I don't like saying this stuff to fuel the dumb rivalries in pop music that just infuse hatred & promote a negative culture, but I will say that it seems like this year has been a sign that there are big changes about to happen. I think the pop girl dynamic in pop culture is changing. Katy & Rihanna will grasp the indie trend the strongest, especially Rihanna, who, with Stay, is part of the force behind it & moving it forward. Stay is one of the best ballads of the decade & took her career to another level.
Interestingly enough, Rihanna seems more hot than ever. Demand for her is at an all-time high.
I want all of the pop girls to succeed, & I'm excited for the changes about to occur, or that are occurring. It will change the way we discuss them & maybe how we pit them together as rivals. Because as much as I hate that happening, it will always happen. Stanning culture promotes hatred of other artists indirectly. It's like rooting for a team or a winner - you start to resent the other side that threatens your team.

Britney is over, Gaga is over, Miley is a fad. Katy will have Pink type success album/single wise.
Beyonce and Rihanna will have a long successful carreer. Bey in touring and 4 type success with her albums/singles, Rih will be successful in all aspects and will eventually be a better performer than Beyonce.
