Both TDKR and Avengers tried to do too much, at several points I just found them ridiculous. And TDKR doesn't live up to TDK, whereas CF surpassed THG.
If Gaga couldn't get attention after reenacting the Marilyn affair a day after the JFK anniversary, it's obvious that nothing else she does will be controversial. I'm sure she'll keep trying though!
I just rewatched Gravity on DVD at home, no 3D, no Imax, while on my elliptical...and I like it much better this time. No outsized expectations or worrying if Sandra will flop, just enjoyed the ride and thought it was great! So yes, the movie does work on your TV.
Lady Gaga fired the brilliant businessman who between 2007 and 2011 turned her into the world's biggest star...b/c she didn't like that he wanted her to record more hits, to give him SOMETHING to work with and be able to market. She felt that he was standing in the way of her "art." The result of their dissolved relationship, the "art" over which she lost him: the year's worst pop album.
