I won't bother with the idiotic first part of your post because I don't see anything wrong with missing Britney's charisma and above everyone else performances on stage, but I will answer your last question with two examples: Beyoncé and Christina Aguilera.
Now tell me whose career state and star status Britney is heading to at this point, and maybe, just maybe, you will understand why some of us still "care about awards".
P.S.: Madonna performed at the Superbowl for her last album. 30 years into her career.
