In 2005, President Bush signed a bill to allow wiretapping of american international phone calls. In response, Britney Spears launched a campaign to have the Supreme Court review this act. The campaign was an incredible success and the Supreme Court took immediate action; the ability to record any given phone call at the discretion of the NSA clearly violated the 4th Amendment of the US Constitution (unwarranted/ unreasonable searches and seizure)
