I'm going to assume that you are not trolling here and school you a bit. If I tell you about personal experience, you can then raise your own personal experience to cancel it, whether it is true or made up. In the end, nothing is proved. They are still both isolated incidents. Still your argument doesn't mean ****, cos the article depicts his personal experience (with video too). Statistics (from the FBI official website) gives you an objective perspective of the wider picture >> anecdotal evidence. Have as seat. I feel like some of y'all do the most to stay ignorant on this matter.

But, my point is that racism =/= to white privilege. Duh at the fact black people are targeted by the police more than white people. But it's stupid to assume that EVERY COP THINKS LIKE THIS. Location plays a big part in this. and in the bolded part.....not ALL black people are targeted in their workplace like this man was. I know the facts and statistics, so I don't understand why are you throwing them out there as if this is new and you know something I don't?
From my standpoint, I am black and I've never ran into a problem where I live. I've even been out past curfew and cops have drove past me without harassing me. White people get arrested ALOT more in the area I'm in and attract a lot of police attention than my race does. And the same goes for a lot of places. Not every white cop you see is going to frisk you and harass you because of your skin colour but there are a certain few who will. I'm not denying white privilege isn't a thing, but it doesn't really apply here. That was a reach. I'm not arguing on this subject anymore because it's going to go absolutely no where. This isn't white privilege that's it. That was my main point before it branched into something else. Have a nice day

You are from the UK - and judging by your post to Callum, you've never been to the US - all you've done is type a few words into Google search thinking that all of it - or even most, is actually accurate. Sorry, statistics, whether it be from the FBI or God himself, do not show consistent accuracy. Sorry.
In this case, you speak from personal experience or you don't. And considering you have none, you know nothing of this subject. No amount of tumblr charts is going to change that. Your factual preaching is nothing more than a bunch of senseless babble.

You seem to be confused. That's not what white privilege is. White people don't have to deal with racist cop, that is there privilege. I didn't say whites are immune to harassment. But they don't have to deal with harassment on the basis of their race, otherwise there would be outstanding statistics to support such a claim. It's not that hard to understand 
If white people are majority in your area, they are expected to have the majority of the arrests. But in most places in America, the arrests per capita are completely off balanced. If you truly think had the guy in the article been white, he would have got the same treatment, I have nothing else to say to you.

What are you even talking about? Wouldn't the "Tumblr Chart" people (who YOU brought up and are brushing off) be basing off of personal experience the same as you? I'm white, but it's sickening how white people just always want to sweep race issues under the rug and don't want to be confronted that this is still an actual problem in our society.
They actually believe blacks have a fair shot in our society and that racism is a thing of the past because blacks are allowed to ride in the front of the bus, or whatever, now. According to them, we live a post racial society where the white people are the victims of racial hate now.
The ignorance and the people in this thread just confirming it.

d that's the thing. Experiences vary, and those statistics don't cover a proper amount for it to be considered accurate. It's only a select amount of people. And my point is that having no personal experience is bad in this case; without it, you have NO idea if those statistics are true or not (even if you did you wouldn't really in the first place) , and considering it's Internet research...
