I trust in William "will.i.am" Adams. I feel like Britney is his American Cheryl Cole. Her debut album "3 Words," was executive produced by him and is arguably her best album. "Messy Little Raindrops" was a sophomoric mess (but Will's 2 tracks were good). Her third album "A Million Lights" was better than album 2, but not as great as album 1. Will only produced one song and it was one of the standouts.
"Big Fat Bass" was an overproduced messed. I think Will learned his lesson from that and really helped with songs that showcase Brit's voice and the emotions she wants to convey with her material. I doubt he'll ever get the respect he wants from the Army (or the industry tbh) but if Britney Jean as a complete picture is good, I hope fans will automatically stop thinking the worst of him.

3 Words is Cheryl's worst album and Messy Little Raindrops (despite the awful title) her best, by far, and Let's Get Down f/will.i.am is the worst song on the latter.
3 Words is stale and very formulaic (his only great songs with Cheryl are on 3 Words, though: 3 Words + Heaven,) which seems to be one of the problems with Britney Jean. It was one of the many problems with The Beginning, as well. He lost his touch in late 2009/early 2010.
