It's like she scrapped the Decay of the Blonde in favor of ARTPOP and yet that concept of the decaying pop star is felt more on her era than putting art in pop...

First the image is the problem.. Now the music.. You guys need to make up your minds! The music is GREAT! Better and more radio friendly than BTW! Now stop letting people influence your decisions. ARTPOP will sell just fine, it will have longevity!
She needs to seriously recreate her image. She's doing a good job at the minute, but it's important to notice how this album is doing already compared to BTW.
This was the era where she should've shedded all the boring preaching, all the mother monster/little monster stuff (it's 5 years already, most of them are probably out of high school already ), the gimmick off putting looks.

Isn't it kind of sad how we're basically begging for Gaga to have less creative freedom? I guess she is not as talented as we thought she was.
The problem is that she has moments of greatness and moments of epic failure. She needs to know that, as artistically talented as she is, if she wants to stay relevant in the music industry she needs to be commercial. The GP isn't here for 'art', they are here to be entertained...

Both image as music are a problem. But the music is a more important problem. With tracks called "Onion Girl" you can look like Jolie during her peak but you still won't sell many copies.

"Do What U Want" is coming to scalp and push ARTPOP in the right direction. "Gypsy" will follow and smash with the Grammy awards. Then "Sexxx Dreams" will obliterate the doubters once again. Finally, "G.U.Y" or "Manicure" will lead this album to the 2015 Space Performance with grace and conclude this era. Bookmark THIS!

It's not going to happen overnight though. She needs to win people back steadily. Her fanbase will ensure she is able to have decent(-ish) sales, but the GP will bring the longevity if she proves herself to be likeable.
