Now sister I love to death my favorite album from her. But honestly what single would have smashed the hot 100... I mean LOT was performed so many time and had that iconic Mtv performance and yet it only cracked the top 20
I would have given Avril some credit if she had come out in 2001 when P!nk went pop/rock.
Let Go was released in 2002. Plus if you listened to that album (and seen its' reciepts), she was on a whole other level. It sold 7 million in the US,2 Million in Europe, 1 million in the UK, Japan, and Canada.
She had impact, and her music was really good (and she didn't recycle)
Britney's underperformance/floppage is due to an underwhelming first single and very poor promotion by the management. I mean, they could have done something to at least hype up the fanbase and unite them, but they didn't really do that well.

You act like I'm denying Avril's popularity or involvement at that time. I'm not going to ignore P!nk's underrated impact just because there's some kind of vendetta or trend held by ATRL queens to deny P!nk's contributions to modern day pop music. P!nk dropped her album first and she wasn't a fad, so I stand by my point.

LOT stalled because even after the VMAs they didn't send it to radio. they sent Countdown instead. like if they sent LOT to radio it would've been bigger. how much bigger, idk, but the fact that that performance alone is what made LOT shoot up to iTunes is impressive. oh well.
