Agreed with this. A corperate gig and Microsoft opening are not going to be as well thought out and planned as the AMAs, Ellen, The Voice ( )

On looking forward to being pregnant (interview given before her big pregnancy announcement!):
“Everybody calls me fat all the time, so I can’t wait to have a reason, instead of everybody just being a jerk!”
On how she thinks she’ll lose her baby weight: “I’ve never been Gisele Bündchen, so ain’t nobody expectin’ that! I like to set a [low] standard so people don’t expect a lot.”
On her wedding to Brandon Blackstock: “I bawled like a baby. We both wrote our own vows, and it was hard to get through them, but I did it. … Brandon was like, ‘The Notebook ain’t got nothin’ on me—come on!’ And he took me out [on the lake] in a rowboat. It was very sweet. The whole thing was perfect.”

Kelly Clarkson's Best Christmas Ever: Marriage, Baby, and a New Holiday Album!
"My life did a 180—in the most awesome way.” That’s how singer Kelly Clarkson, 31, describes how husband Brandon Blackstock has changed her world. They started dating after seeing each other at the 2012 Super Bowl, and she married the divorced father of two on October 20. And just this week, Clarkson revealed that she and Blackstock are expecting their first child together.
Read highlights from the interview below, and be sure to check out this weekend’s issue of Parade for the full story.
On the details of her wedding, where she opted to go barefoot beneath her lace Temperley Bridal gown:
“I bawled like a baby. We both wrote our own vows, and it was hard to get through them, but I did it. … Brandon was like, ‘The Notebook ain’t got nothin’ on me—come on!’ And he took me out [on the lake] in a rowboat. It was very sweet. The whole thing was perfect.”
On her life prior to dating Blackstock in 2012:
“I was single for almost seven years. Every Christmas, it was like, ‘Seriously, I’m still pathetically alone? Awesome. I’m still telling people I’m okay with it? I’m not.’”
On forgetting the Mr. Know-It-All who came before she found Mr. Right:
“I only had like three boyfriends my whole life before Brandon, and two of them were good, just not a good fit. I only had one real stinker that I wrote [music about] and made a lot of money off of.”
On Blackstock’s initial worries about dating her, since his father, Narvel, is Clarkson’s manager:
“He was like, ‘My dad’s gonna kill me if this doesn’t go well.’ I said, ‘So? We’re both adults. And it’s gonna go awesome!’ In my head, I was like, ‘I’m already married to you!’”
On how she knew she would be successful on American Idol in 2002:
“I came home after the very first Idol audition and was like, ‘I’m totally gonna win this.’ Not in a cocky way; it was like something bigger than me was at work.”
On her certainty that she’ll soon be a mom:
“My eggs aren’t getting any younger, so we’ve already started trying. I’m totally gonna have a girl. I’m manifesting it! And when I have a girl, you’re gonna be like, ‘That chick knew it!’”
On why she’s looking forward to being pregnant:
“Everybody calls me fat all the time, so I can’t wait to have a reason, instead of everybody just being a jerk!”
On how she figures she’ll be immune to pressure to rapidly drop the baby weight:
“I’ve never been Gisele Bündchen, so ain’t nobody expectin’ that! I like to set a [low] standard so people don’t expect a lot.”

Kelly Clarkson’s new Christmas album, Wrapped in Red, features both classics and winning originals co-written by Clarkson. And while she confirms to Parade that she turned down an offer to return to Idol as a season 13 judge (she was on tour with Maroon 5 during the show’s summer auditions), she’s finishing up two albums, one “very soulful” country and one pop. Kelly Clarkson on What Makes Her Marriage Work and Why Simon Cowell Will Be a 'Nurturing' Dad
In this weekend’s issue of Parade, Kelly Clarkson opens up about her wonderful new life. From her October wedding to Brandon Blackstock to the recent news that the newlyweds are expecting their first child together, the holiday season is looking particularly bright!
In the interview outtakes below, the singer dishes on her memorable birthday trip to Alaska, how her new husband appreciates her drive, and why former American Idol judge Simon Cowell will be a “nurturing” father.
On her birthday trip with Brandon, bear-hunting in Alaska.
“I went on this hunting trip, which is funny—I’m an animal activist, but he’s a hunter, and I knew his big thing was grizzly bears. So I took him to Alaska as a present, and the only time they had available—you’re only allowed to hunt so many grizzlies a year, for preservation—was during my birthday month. He was like, ‘I can’t believe we’re doing this on your birthday,’ and I said, ‘We’re gonna have such a good time!’ I love Alaska; my brother lived there for years, and I could totally live off the land and do the whole Walking Dead thing if I had to, but I don’t have to.
“The first two days it was like being at fat camp; Brandon is in super shape, he’s a totally toned dude, but the first day when we lay down in our tents I was like, ‘I can’t move.’ It’s a different kind of terrain, and I’m a midget, so each step for me was a giant lunge up a mountain. I was just not ready for it. I did two days and my clothes weren’t fitting right, they were too big and bulky, and I was so cold and miserable. I think he got his bear on the third or fourth day, and then I was like, ‘We have to go! I hope you enjoyed that, because this is gonna be a guy situation in the future!’”
On Brandon appreciating how driven she is.
“I think [when guys don’t] it’s because they aren’t ambitious, and that’s annoying. I’ve dated that. You have to find somebody who’s… not just like you, but who understands what you’re like and what your goals are. [Brandon and I] have different goals, but we’re both super-driven and super-passionate and super-creative, so that’s really helpful.”
On what kind of father Simon Cowell will be.
“He’s gonna be a great dad. I bet he’ll say to the press, ‘No way am I [changing diapers],’ but I bet you he will. He’s way more nurturing and sweet than most people know. I mean, he is who he is on TV, but what’s better than an honest person? He needs to say what he thinks. But as a dad, he’s going to be a little different. Things he told my mom when I was on American Idol, or after I won—he was like, ‘Your daughter’s gonna be a huge star, she’s so talented.’ He does things he doesn’t need to, and nobody sees that side of him.”

SNL just announced its December lineup. No Kelly.
Quote:
“Saturday Night Live” has set a dream team for its Dec. 21 broadcast, as “SNL” alum Jimmy Fallon returns to host for the second time with musical guest Justin Timberlake.
Paul Rudd is also scheduled to host the Peacock’s venerable latenight comedy show on Dec. 7, before the premiere of “Anchorman 2.” One Direction will serve as musical guest.
On Dec. 14, John Goodman will notch his 13th time hosting “SNL.” Kings of Leon will perform.
Both Fallon and Timberlake have won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for their work hosting “SNL.”

I love the interviews! Kelly shared more (of her personal things) than I expected.
Can anyone explain one thing to me? Recently she said she was on her "girly time". Doesn't it make her pregnancy impossible back then?
