I've heard Passenger and Alien and I'm tempted to hear the leaks
I didn't listen to any ARTPOP songs before the album was streamed
so why can't I do it with Britney Jean?
Well, I wasn't eager to listen to ARTPOP either but Britney Jean is obviously a much bigger challenge. We'd only have to survive till the streaming on Monday tho.
When it comes to Britney Jean/album 8/era 8, I'm doing what's best for me as a fan. I'm enjoying the eclectic material from Britney. I'm glad that she isn't lost in a bunch of overproduction with her vocals autotuned to the point that she's a lifeless robot. It's not gonna be for everyone, I accept that. I also don't give a **** if people hate it. It is what it is.
Britney's doing the music she wants. I hope the album is successful and does well so that for album 9, she can take what she's learned and enhance on it. There's nothing wrong with making mistakes along the way. I'd rather her try and fail than let let her fate be decided by producers whose only concern is getting their cut on the profits and execs who want the money train to keep rolling.
I honestly don't know what fans what from her. She does the status quo and people hate it. She tries something new, people hate it. The very people who wanted her to work with new people are not saying they wish she worked with people from the last album. She can't win for losing.
I'm also beginning to accept that the ATRL Army (and Britney Army overall) is just ****ing ridiculous. I've never seen a fanbase bash their "fave" as much as we (collectively) do. It's sad, really. And no one seems to care that it's driving people away, sucking the excitement from the base and just so unbecoming. It is what it is. Sad to see the implosion.
People who actually have valid criticisms (like Lem and others) get lost in the shuffle because people are trying to out meltdown, out "album is gonna flop" and out **** each other.
Apparently all of the deluxe edition tracks were supposed to be on the standard version, but since Diplo revealed Katy wrote those under an alias, Universal wants a share of the royalty. I think they were originally going to hide the fact that Katy wrote them before Diplo spilled the tea. So I guess that means Britney had to throw some leftovers into the standard tracklisting, which would explain how underhwhelming a few of the snippets are.
Clearly, my post went unnoticed as it was the last of the previous page, but this "standard/deluxe" talk doesn't make sense since Diplo spilled the tea originally about PASSENGER, and that track is STILL on the standard edition.
Stop. I'm starting to think that you're enjoying it.
