The game has definitely changed. With Tumblr, Twitter and Facebook all going strong, it's not as simple anymore as flopping once and you're done. They've never even had a big hit. Even Bieber still has plenty of power despite being the most unlikable person on the planet, getting uglier every day and with no good music.

1D could definitely keep milking this for quite some time. They don't need the one thing that keeps every other artist relevant... getting that next hit song.

Koda Kumi probably doesn't even know about this digital-only compilation. It's a quick way for Avex to make money and that was something that they decided on doing. I'm pretty sure Gaga had something like this on Amazon
