FF is a flawless pop album and from what I've heard so far MILES better than what BJ is turning out to be.
Still here for it though, obviously, and I support Britney either way. My ratings and comments based on snippets/songs we've heard so far:
Alien: 7/10 - Good album opener and frankly not the kind of song I expected to be first. Decent song, but I can already hear the differences in the demo and the snippet... The changes kind of bug me a bit?
Work B!tch: 8.5/10 - Definitely the most dance-y song off the album. Best first single choice, imo. Though, I was expecting a *better* first single off this album especially and I'm still kind of disappointed. A great jam, though.
Perfume: 4.5/10 - This does sound like an unreleased song.

(With respect to some of her GOOD unreleased songs) It's
okay, but -- this song isn't as good as it was hyped up to be. And I think this extremely "personal" approach is the wrong way to go for her. Her other albums had a few personal songs here and there and those were all really good? I think they're definitely over-doing it on this one. Sia/Britney is not a very good combination.
It Should Be Easy feat. will.i.am: 5.5/10 - From the snippet, it seems like another basic club song. The beat is nice and it sounds like a minor bop, but I might actually prefer Scream & Shout, lol?
Tik Tik Boom feat. T.I.: 7/10 -
Perfect Lover 2.0? I hear this song and think, "Tick tock tick tock, come and get me while I'm hot." Honestly one of the only Blackout-esque songs on this entire album. It's a great bop and I like what I hear so far.
Body Ache: 7.5/10 - Hawt jam. That's all it seems like, though from the snippet.
This song has B.E.P written all over it, I should add.
Til It's Gone: 9/10 - This is in the ballpark of the kind of sound I was hoping for with this album. I'm most excited to hear this song in full. Don't know about this song as a single, unfortunately, but I love it.
Passenger: 8.5/10 - Should have been the second single. What in the world made them pick Perfume over this flawless song?!
Chillin' With You feat. Jamie Lynn: 3/10 - Was this song necessary? Ugh.
Wasted spot. Bye.
Don't Cry: 7.5/10 - I hear classic Britney in this song.

I know I'm going to love this one. "This is gonna be our Last Goodbye" OMG, Britney's "Last Goodbye"?!

I'm not ready
(Deluxe Edition Bonus Tracks)
Brightest Morning Star: 5/10 - Better than Perfume, actually?

This song sounds like it was taken off of ...BOMT. IDK. Up N' God was the first bonus track on FF and that song literally completely floors this song all-around. Disappointing.
Hold on Tight: 8/10 - I like this song a lot. It's the best bonus track on this album. Switch this song out with Chillin' With You pls. Or switch 'em and just leave that one out entirely.

It's dragging down the album and this album can't afford that.
Now That I Found You: 4/10 - Meh. Kind of annoying just based on the snippet and at this point in the album I'm gonna be sick of songs like this.
Perfume (The Dreaming Mix): 4.5/10 - See: Above comment. And I'm just gonna give the mix the same rating as the original.
OVERALL: Roughly 6.5/10 I hope the fulls can improve my opinion. It sounds generally underwhelming. Britney serves some strained, wacky vocals on some of these tracks (wacky for the standard Britney vocals, I mean). I just can't get on board with some songs. A lot of the ballads sound very similar, too. It's a shame because I normally love/want to go back and listen to every song on Britney albums except for maybe like one bonus track here and there? I don't like this toned-down Britney very much at all. It just feels like it's missing the essence of Britney. Where's the attitude? Where's the bite? I love Britney and her music, but it feels like
Femme Fatale was the bold, sexy heel and
Britney Jean is just that heel breaking. Following
Femme Fatale, this album is like how the
Circus was to
Blackout. Except
Circus is better than
Britney Jean. Overall, this album is just OK.
