Father-to-Be Simon Cowell Congratulates Pregnant 'American Idol' Alum Kelly Clarkson: "Our Kids Will Be Friends!"
Simon Cowell gushes about 'American Idol' winner Kelly Clarkson's exciting pregnancy news.
His baby has yet to be born, but it appears that fatherhood has already softened up Simon Cowell!
In Touch caught up with the X Factor judge at the Jaguar F-Type Coupe reveal party in Los Angeles on Nov. 19, and we totally caught him gushing about play dates for his son—with his girlfriend, socialite Lauren Silverman—and pregnant American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson's future child!
Not only did he tell us that he can totally see them being friends, the man constantly churning out mega-successes even revealed what he thinks their career path will be!
"They’ll probably enter a competition show together," he joked, adding that it may be a singing competition—not that we’d be surprised!
Kelly, and her new husband Brandon Blackstock, confirmed her exciting news on Facebook yesterday, writing, “I’m pregnant!!! Brandon and I are so excited! Best early Christmas present ever.”
Last month, Kelly opened up to In Touch about her excitement of starting a family; “I did not ever want kids but my prioritites are changing because now I want a baby real bad—a big, chunky baby,” she told the mag, admitting she was hoping for a girl.
Kelly has already had some practice—with Brandon’s kids Savannah, 12, and Seth, 6; Simon had no doubts that Kelly will be a totally amazing mom!
“She’ll be great,” Simon confided to In Touch. “I really like her, she’s a great girl.”
When it comes to his own child—Simon admitted some hesitations to In Touch when we sat down with him in September.
“I’m not sure I’m that great with babies, so I’m going to need to get a lot of help with that part. There are all those things to think about, like how you hold them and stuff like that," Simon dished to the mag at the time. ”But I’m pretty good with kids, especially when they’re at an age where they can talk. I like the idea of having a pal!”
Well, at least he and Kelly will able to help each other out! Congrats to both stars, we could not be happier!
