Britney Jean is now back on the front page on US iTunes (while all traces of another certain album that dropped last week have been removed ). We also have the top banner in the pop section.
Nothing will stop the inevitable 1st week ridiculous sales.
At this point we can't even hope for a #1 album debut.
Everyone is discounting the album during the release week, which is a very smart move... AKA Britney's Team will not do that.
As for One Direction... Really? Weren't they saying One Direction was doing over 500k last week?
The predictions keep dropping: "well over 500k" > "over 500k" > "a little over 500k" > "could sell 500k."
No other releases this year are expected to eclipse Timberlake. One Direction’s Midnight Memories, out Nov. 25, is forecast to sell 500,000 its first week. Lady Gaga’s Artpop, out this week, is predicted to sell roughly 300,000. And Britney Spears’ Britney Jean, out Dec. 3, “won’t do anything close to these numbers,” Caulfield says.
They overestimated Gaga so hopefully One Direction, too.

This 4th quarter sales are an abomination.
Thank God they didn't predict anything for Britney, since the trend seems to be "all the way down from here" lately.
Passenger SLAYS. Alien and Work Bitch are good too.
Did you predict Gaga's numbers correctly?
I predicted 375K for Gaga. But that was because her physical sales ended up being ABYSMAL, if the 100K preorder thing is true. More likely than not, her fans overestimated the amount of preorders and said it was 100K, so I assumed it would do perhaps another 50K or 60K digitally on the release week for a 150K or 160K digital total. Which, according the usual 40% digital and 60% physical, would be around 350K - 375K first week.
She probably ended up doing 100K total digitally and her preorders were probably somewhere along 30K. I have NO idea how her fans overestimated them so much.
