That's clever. The Squad needs to step their cookies up and act like a unit.

Ciara should've released another urban song because its much cheaper to push on radio than a pop song. From the look of things Epic Records is broke. They should've chose an urban song and just kept going from there.
This single was suppose to push Ciara back to pop stardom. So her next album getting pop hits would be easier, booking award shows would be easier etc... They realy dropped the ball. If they weren't going to go all out, Itunes banner, pop radio adds etc then she should've stayed and gained on urban.

Epic records clearly isn't broke, y'all. You have to understand that a record label isn't going to shell out big money on projects when they aren't making any in return. I can imagine that Epic has already spent a ton on the 'Ciara' era from promotion, to music videos, to recording and paying songwriters and producers. "Overdose" isn't the first, second, or third release from this era, it's the 6th. 5 of the said six got official releases, and 4 of the six got music video and were promoted on major platforms, yet only 1 of those 6 songs managed to be a substantial hit. and even said hit song "Body Party," struggled to sell and reached the Gold certification it has with the help of streaming.
While I do agree that the song has/d potential to be a mainstream hit and is now wasting away, or so it seems, you guys can't just blame Epic. I mean, they essentially recorded a whole album, scrapped it, recorded another and released that with is still not selling even 150k or having any massive singles sales, yet they haven't dropped Ciara. And aren't they already working on her next album? they might as well save their coins for that project.

If anything, y'all should be pressed about the tour she was planning basically vanishing. unless she's actually pregnant, then of course no one can hold the tour not taking place against her.
