Oop. Probably won't submit until later. The server is much better so now I can repeatedly preview my entry as a thread reply

I was about to ask if everyone hopefully submitted before ATRL was down
And if I had to guess, I would say Scene submitted first

On ATRL, a majority of us spend most of our time engaging in stan wars. This creates a division between members. Wouldn't it be nice to have a day where we could put aside our silly differences and unite for one common good? That is the purpose of ATRL Unites Against Hunger, a day set aside for us members on ATRL to stop fighting and to put forth a charitable effort for the greater good. World Food Day is an internationally-recognized movement to stop hunger. It is a day for organizations to "mobilize advocacy campaigns and events on October 16 to strengthen the political will to end hunger." However, preventing hunger has to start with normal, everyday people, like those here on ATRL. What we are going to do on ATRL is play Freerice, an online game that allows players to raise grains of rice for hungry people by answering simple multiple-choice questions.

→In 2012, 49.0 million Americans lived in food insecure households, 33.1 million adults and 15.9 million children.
→Undernutrition contributes to 2.6 million deaths of children under five each year - one third of the global total.
→Almost 1 billion people across the globe will go to bed hungry tonight, 200 million of them children. That means one seventh of the world's population suffers from hunger.
→In the developing world, more than 1.4 billion people currently live below the international poverty line, earning less than $1.25 per day.

(Accumulating this much rice only took me six minutes. An average meal is 6,000 grains of rice, meaning that it would only take me 18 minutes to provide a meal for a person in need.)

→Play Freerice, a game sponsored by the United Nation's World Food Program, for just one day, October 16th.
→To play this game, all you have to do is answer simple vocabulary, math, science, or humanities questions. Every question you get right raises 10 grains of rice. Answering the questions takes only fractions of a second, so you can rapidly accumulate rice.
→For every grain of rice that you win on Freerice, the United Nations World Food Program pledges to send an equivalent amount of rice to people in needy nations (particularly countries in Africa and Asia).
→Encourage others on ATRL to play the game! Together, we can make a difference. If I earned 2,000 grains of rice in just six minutes (refer to the picture above), think of how much rice the entire site can pool together for needy families.
→Screenshot your total number of grains. The three ATRL members with the most grains collected will win an ATRL+ membership.

ATRL is a website full of thousands of active members. Think of how much impact we could make on thousands of hungry people if we all unite for the common good of stopping hunger. For one day, make a pledge to stop stanning and start doing something to make a change.

Prom will be held inside a special thread within The Lounge as an exclusive one-night-only event, so be sure to attend and make some good memories! Both moderators and members alike are welcome to attend!
And make sure you stick around for the end of the night, because there will be a special award given away to two members. That's right - ATRL Prom King & Queen!
✫ Take a chance and sign up for Prom Court. Once signups are closed, all participants will be randomly sorted into pairs, and they will have a week to coordinate avatars, signatures, and promote in Blogs as to why they should be elected the very first ATRL Prom King & Queen (Or King & King, or Queen & Queen; we don't discriminate here on ATRL!).
At the beginning of prom, a thread will open up containing a poll of all the pairs within the Prom Court. The winner of the poll will receive 10 points to be added to their final score. Score for what, you might ask?
A mystery panel of five judges will be evaluating all of the pairs in Prom Court, and judging them on a scale from 1 to 10 in three distinct categories. First is their promotion in Blogs; next is their creatively themed / matched avatars, and third is their unique signatures for prom. At the end of the night, the judges will tally their scores and the pair that has the highest total will win!
For an extra incentive to put forth your best effort, the winning pair will each receive a free six month subscription of ATRL+!
So what are you waiting for? Sign up now!

The holidays also mean lots of special dinners. Thanksgiving dinners, Hanukkah dinners, Christmas dinners, Kwanza dinners, etc. With all those feasts going on, are you apart of the menu?
Welcome to the 1st Annual ATRL Roast!
Announcement Links:
(None so far)
I’m your host and roastmaster, Avery.
An example of a roast in ATRL language:
Dragging and hurling insults at Beyoncé, especially mentioning her single, but appreciating and loving her at the same time (a toast).
ROASTEES
(Roastee theme will vary every year depending on how I feel)
So who exactly is going to get roasted? You know them and you love them, it’s the Mods! Yes, you read correctly, the mods will be getting roasted. To keep this entertaining for everybody, ATRL members and guests (yes, including guests), will vote on which 5 Mods they will like to see get roasted.
*THE POLL LINK WILL BE ADDED HERE WHEN OPEN*
Pick up to 5 mods who you want to see get roasted. You're limited to choosing 5.

ATENDEES
To make things easier, instead of a **** ton of people posting their jokes/insults, there will be a set of “presenters,” if you will.
So far it's just me. Do you think you got what it takes? Send me a PM telling me you want to be a roaster.
Roaster/Presenter submission period:
Start: November 27th 12:00PM EST
End: December 2nd 12:00PM EST
After I receive submissions, I will post a link to a poll asking all of ATRL to choose out of the submission pool.

The Roaster poll will open:
December 3rd
Special appearances by:
Flavor Flav

THE ROAST
I personally cannot make up all the insults jokes, so I need all of ARTL’s help. You guys will be sending me your insults
This is how it’s going to work:
After the nominations are revealed, joke submissions will be open. Just PM me jokes with the subject: “ATRL Roast Joke Submissions.”
For workload purposes, you will only be permitted to send in 3 jokes. It can be any combination of Mods, just as long as it’s 3 jokes maximum. For example, you can send in 2 jokes directed towards Matty and one towards Katie. You can send in 3 jokes directed at Retro. Any combination works, as long as it’s 3 maximum.
Just know that these jokes will be looked at THOROUGHLY. So no threats or anything like that. This is all for fun, and remember that even though a roast includes insults and jokes, it's a toast to the roastee.
Those whose jokes are chosen will be listed as Creative Directors
Oh, and please don’t forget to write who the joke is directed to.
Joke submission period:
Start: December 5th
End: December 8th
...
IMPORTANT: This does not give you permission to post anything in the thread that infringes the rules.
It’s roasting season, are you on the dinner menu?

Off the top of my head:
-Nice concept but not practical.
-Super original but kinda lacking.
-Wait. Just cute enough for me.
-Already done, already flopped.
