Each song was mainly dance pop though, with little influences of other genres included in some of the songs.

An example of an actual diverse pop album is In The Zone.

Starstruck/Boys Boys Boys may have urban or pop-rock elements like J&D/Manicure but still is all pop except for J&D which is trap and def. not pop. Artpop is sort of similar to The Fame, you're right. They do have similarities. Except The Fame is a much better album.
