After that, I think it'd be good to draw a line under this phase of her career. Take time off to live her life and let it inform her next album which should be non-dance/pop along with a new image. She has to keep it fresh. We've seen the same wacky image + big dance/pop songs formula for 4 albums now.

I agree with Geo, I won't give up on this album first of all because I LOVE it, second of all let's wait and see how DWUW performs.
I hope it won't see a huge drop thanks to SNL, Ellen and the AMAs

A second volume is not a good idea at this point.
After this era is over (I don't even want a tour but I know damn well it will still happen) she should start working on a new album but with a different approach.

Same. The performances this era besides Swinefest don't make me excited for a tour, and the BTW Ball just ended this year. I'd rather have a new Q4 album next year and then start a tour, more new material as well.

I still love the album y'all. I don't know why people let the success (...or just the first week of sales in this case) change their opinion of an album. The sound doesn't change because the album had less-than-expected first week sales. I've listened to ARTPOP almost exclusively since it leaked. Had to take a break yesterday and listen to something else, but I'm very pleased with this body of work!
