I knew we had it coming but I didn't think it would be that bad 
Expecting at the least ~230k for the next prediction. God help us if it's lower than that

If they take SNL into consideration, shouldn't the predictions increase? If it decreases to say - 225-240k - then SNL would probably put it at its original projection - 250-275k.
I do find it odd that the pre-orders were over 100k, but the sales for this week will be ~150k.

I don't care anymore. I've already accepted that the new predictions will be worse and that we'll get stuck at #2.

Does HDD take future events into consideration like that? I'm not sure. Something tells me they don't.

Did this thread ever die off?
The fact that she sold so much of her first week sales off preorders assuming HDD is right makes me thing the debut is very, very fan-centric and the predictions might go down again. Que sera sera.

If Eminem is currently selling at least twice what Gaga is selling on iTunes well, there won't be #1 for Artpop.

I'm honestly expecting the predictions to decrease seeing as the album has already fallen to #2 on iTunes. Oh well.

I do think HITS take into consideration promo spots when coming up with these predictions. BUT I don't think they really dig deep like that because most of the time, with or without promo, their projections are damn close.
I could see them lowering the predictions just based on it falling from #1 on iTunes.
