In retrospect, all the numbers for all these pop singers are disappointing. proves that no one buys albums anymore - unless you are a rapper. I think that the reason that Eminem sold so much is because he is marketed to males, who never actually buy music unless someone like Eminem release. Pop girls just can't get a break tbh. It's sad. But if you enjoy the album then don't think about the numbers. The two should be in separate categories.
I'm sure the sales will increase with SNL/AMA's/Gaga and Muppets however.

Nah. The numbers are on par with how most pop/female singers open. The only pop chick with the former standard of constant high-openings is Britney, and currently Taylor. The rest, if lucky, had a one high moment and then never saw such manic desire for their albums again (Gaga).
It's only being dragged because LMs have gone on 2.5 years with the idea Gaga was still a hot commodity like before, though it was in their face that she wasn't. That and the fact that this is a huge decline for her. Katy, Miley, Rihanna don't have to prove anything with their numbers cause they've never been so high/shown consistency and, for Kat/Rih at least, show their power by selling millions upon millions of singles.
Gaga hasn't really shown anything proving her selling power since the JD/PF/BR days, since the majority of her songs are 2x-just over 3x platinum [versus Katy's several 5x-6xp] and BTW had dismal longevity despite the (advantaged) 1 million first week.
