The only number in this article I trust is the 1.1 million Born This Way sales...Yesterday was the release date and it was sold out in multiple big retailers all over the place (majority of Walmarts and Targets and a few Best Buy's). Also the preorders for physical copies of ARTPOP were over 500 thousand and digital itunes preorders in the United States alone were over 100 thousand. My prediction for ARTPOP's first week sales is 1.5 to 2 million copies beating out Born This Way and making it one of the best first week sales ever.
Also I know that the sale for ARTPOP are going to be way more than Katy Perry's prism (sold 270 thousand first week) because it didn't do well on the charts and ARTPOP is holding firm at #1 in 83 countries
