It's funny how now that Gaga is struggling to sell albums (I won't even mention the singles department) you are coming for Katy's album sales, an artist you always called "singles artist" while Gaga was the "albums artist". It's really pathetic that an albums artist doing 150k more than the singles artist on it's 1st week. The even more sad is that the first one is going to have a huge drop comparing to her previous opening (which ended with more than 7 mill albums sold) while the second one had a 33% increase.
Everyone can find their reasons to be happy, but this is just not enough to defend Gaga, the album seller.

First Applause was going to demolish Roar. When that didn't happen, it became well Gaga is an album seller. Now that's looking unlikely. 350k is surely below most of you alls expectations from the title you've given her. Especially since it's barely 80k more than Katy.
After all that you still can't slow down from this high mighty complex. I'm digging ARTPOP (more than Prism actually) but it'll be a 3rd egg in your face if the situation reoccurs where Katy has longevity and Gaga steadily dips downward.
I didn't even mention Katy in my post and it wasn't even about her.
