She put a target on her back giving the album that name, yes, but it becomes an easy target in no small part due to the presuppositions people bring to their idea of what "art" should be or necessarily entails beyond simply being a general categorization.
I hope Gaga knows she can't wait 2 years again for her next album.
I love how the past month or so has made everyone appreciate everything Rihanna does.
The perfect lead singles, not writing her own songs, not pandering to the (ungrateful) gays, the yearly releases etc.
What a visionary
So what happens now, Gaga? Will you end up repeating the earlier hits to depleting crowds, churning out ever duller, largely neglected records, sitting alone in your spooky mansion, filling it with expensive real-life skellingtons while pickling your liver with absinthe? Will you wind up collaborating with Mrs Nickelback? Why not get out while you can, when you still have something resembling a strange form of dignity?
