Does Gaga deserve praise for making an effort and avoiding the ready charms of Dr Luke and co? She most certainly does – but this doesn’t make ARTPOP a good album
I'd imagine they'll want ARTPOP Volume 2 out next year. If AP.V1 underperforms (which is almost certain IMO) then they'll need damage control - especially before the tour - and if AP.V1 does fine, then it'll be desirable to deliver a 1-2 punch to return her to the top.
They need to go hard with AP.V2. Really take no prisoners. Major collabs, major producers/writers, major directors, major strategy and major organisation with a killer look. I think she would thrive under the challenge of proving doubters wrong and benefit from not leaving such a big gap again
After that, I think it'd be good to draw a line under this phase of her career. Take time off to live her life and let it inform her next album which should be non-dance/pop along with a new image. She has to keep it fresh. We've seen the same wacky image + big dance/pop songs formula for 4 albums now.
The album isn't even out yet and y'all are saying it's going to underperform. You need to have faith in her, I don't think any of you realised but there is going to be massive promo once the album is out

And as for the whole critics section, whatever. I think the only way I'll have a slight meltdown is if she sells below HDD's prediction, and even then I'll get over it.
