I was in the car 10 minutes ago and they played DWUW on Kiss and then they were talking about her going to space and then they played this ad about being able to listen to ARTPOP early on O2 tracks and she was said "Hey wassup this is Lady Gaga" and it was like her 2009, fun, The Fame era accent. and in the ad they played some of Applause and the start of DWUW in the background.
They started playing DWUW on my radio station finally..........and they also played Dope once
Tomorrow is official ARTPOP day where they play about 8 songs from the album (they do that with every big album), still great promo as it's one of the biggest stations in Switzerland
If she didn't care for the charts we'd still have Venus as the second single and not DWUW lol
But the difference is writing for the charts = creating songs to be sure they will smash, because they are easy pop songs, using certain producers again and again. plus you only live for being no. 1.
Gaga loves being No. 1, obviously, it's great for the ego after all! But music is her passion, she needs to write and make music. So her goal is to be able to live that passion and express herself. Her goal is not having fancy mansions and 6 No.1s in a row. No shade.
You are pissing on someone's face. You don't do it to make them feel good. But if they are grateful, it's nice and you also feel good about it. Got it?
