Artpop, the song, is probably my most favourite off this album. I love those dark, murky tracks with prominent floppy beats and effects. It's really, really nice to listen to. I'd say I downloaded this just for that song.
Overall though, it is a great listen.
Even if you only listen to it once.
It's an experience.

Really liking this.. far better than Born This Way as a complete cohesive effort imo - the lows on BTW were awfully low. This is more consistent, but sadly for as much as I like 90% of the tracks, I can't really spot a stand-out smash to be a hit single.
Compared to the mediocre and safe, bland-ass Katy Perry album, this is at least interesting even if Gaga still mostly has her head up her ass. She dialed it down a lot for this effort and even when her lyrics really do push my limits, the production usually takes up the slack.
