My friend who's with me asked why was it so cheap. I said, "Because she's a flop nowadays."
The highest price of Avril Lavigne tour was just half of the highest price of Taylor's Speak Now tour. I discovered because my friend went there back in 2011..
She'll come there and tickets are so cheap. You're so lucky
Considering she has A LOT of competition right now and she's barely promoted (a little bit of HTNGU, nothing for RnR), I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't reach top-10 the first week. If she doesn't have an high peak, I hope she has something consistency, I'd rather a not-so-high 1st week and a consistent run on charts next months, than being top-5 and then fall off hard. It's not that I really care about charts, but the more she sells the more concerts/gigs she'll get, which is where she gets more money from and that way fans can go and see her on concert.
Avril is not actually flopping at all. The album is doing quite well digitally anyway. She's #2 on WW iTunes. To be fair, she'll probably end up pushing her way into the UK top 10 official charts as well this week, while Lotus peaked at #28 and Warrior at #66! So the queen continues to keep her relevancy
The drop in Japanese sales is real and undeniable.
But at least also Gaga lastest album is affected by this drop, so I guess it's not only a matter of Avril's popularity.
i mean it's really not that bad. people acting like she's on rihanna or gaga status where she's one of the biggest artists on the planet and should be doing 200k 1st week or something.
she's been around for years, no one stays on top forever. her album is still amazing.

No one expected 200k or something
But 40k is just tragic
