Exactly. The whole era (or non era) behind the album, before it even dropped divided fans, specifically the most casual. Some thought it was the worst thing he had ever done and did not want to support it at all. Not in stores, not online, not anywhere. The transgressive approach, the lack of singles, everything about it was talked about whether they actually liked it or not. It was a polarizing album.
Lamar's album was praised in a one dimensional fashion, this album was picked apart both negatively and positively.
Btw, did you really expect radio to play anything off Yeezus? Oh my.
