I kinda feel the same way. Was quite underwhelmed by ARTPOP not gonna lie. It's basically a happier version of Born This Way. Still think it's pretty solid but I might stop stanning & just become somewhat of a casual listener if she doesn't perform DWUW on SNL and wastes that promo slot on Venus or Dope.

Her performances this era are a mess for sure. These days instead of anticipating them, I'm just hoping she won't embarrass herself too much
Everything in this era is perfect, videos, performances, imagery, except the album itself.
After two days of listening to it almost all day, I can say that all the songs has growed in me, well, except Dope, and isn't even because of the production, it's about her vocals, they are so off-putting.
And kill me because my favorite one is Fashion! It's so funky, so perfect, THAT ****ING BRIDGE.

I would be lying if I didn't somewhat agree with this post. I really only LOVE 6 songs on this album. The rest don't really make me feel anything and feel a bit empty in general. It's still a solid pop album, but I wanted something just a bit different. I'm glad she is planning on releasing some songs through the APP though as well. It will be great to delete the tracks I don't use and replace them with the great ones that she will be bound to release through the App.
Nor the imagery, performances and video are perfect
I mean how can you go from that PERFECT, CLEAN, FUTURISTIC promo pics to that dark and messy VMA outfit and lead single video? smh
