I'm getting used to it now, but when I first heard the HQ version, I thought it was the version recorded from Swinefest
...Still love it tho
Other comments on ARTPOP:
- Venus has been growing on me since the album leaked. Definitely in the upper half of the best tracks!
- Sexxx Dreams and MANiCURE are smashes waiting to happen!
- Fashion! and Donatella started out as two of my least favorites but now both are becoming two of my favorites (Fashion! is so damn catchy!)
- Mary Jane Holland sh*ts. It's like she took two of BTW's bests (BM and HML) and mashed them together
- Gypsy is a smash waiting to happen as well, but I wouldn't mind it being ignored as a single tbh. It's too "Edge of Glory" in my opinion
- Dope is cute. It's growing on me as well. Not one of my favorites, but miles better than it's cheesy, original form IWBWY.
- Do What U Want remains one of the best on the album and one of the best choices for second single. Haters can stay seething
- Swine surprisingly is slaying me hard
I know it's an unpopular opinion, but I wouldn't mind it as a single (it'd probably flop tho
)
- ARTPOP (surprisingly) and Jewels n' Drugs (not surprisingly) are my least listened to from the album. I hate how the "hee's" are muted in the studio version for ARTPOP, and I miss DJWS's breakdown in Jewels n' Drugs. Both are still good though!
