The production is really same-y on alot of the songs. DJWS is very one note.
It is super cohesive though and most of the songs have strong hooks. She needs someone to guide her- if the hook is great, she screams over the verses or the production becomes too messy or she sings about gibberish.
My favorites: GUY, Venus, DWUW, Sexxx Dreams, Swine (only for the beat - and I think this is one song where the "vocals" work). Donatella is good too but could get annoying fast, same goes for Manicure. Gypsy is weak and kinda boring. The production on SD could've been alot better, I feel like the live version was superior.
Better than BTW for sure. Don't think she'll get many hits or sell that well. It's still a messy record.
KELLY CLARKSON:No, I wouldn’t say feminist — that’s too strong. I think when people hear feminist, it’s like, “Get out of my way, I don’t need anyone.” I love that I’m being taken care of, and I have a man that’s a leader. I’m not a feminist in that sense … but I’ve worked really hard since I was 19, when I first auditioned for Idol.
It would be nice to have a comedown of sorts somewhere along the line, every single track I've heard is turned all the way up to 11 and that doesn't really work on a 15-song album.
