Every reputable source has made mistakes. It still doesn't change the fact that IFPI has been around since 1933, has offices all over the world and makes headlines every year with their publications. Once you guys accept that Europe is not the world and there's a reason why some of your faves can't tour Japan and Brazil, two of the most important key music markets, then you will understand your fave's lack of IFPI entries.
Just because IFPI is more weighted towards Asia doesn't make it more reputable or accurate in terms of global sales.
Gaga excels in Asia whereas Rihanna slays in Europe. One isn't more global than the other.
