It seems you yourself don't know what an "album artist" is, since all you did was point out the first-week sales and we know Katy outsold Gaga despite 1.1 million vs 192k.
Anyway, these sales fall in line with my expectations. I actually think she could push to 400k+ after the album streaming next week, and perhaps greater response during the album week as "DWUW" and any further U.S. promo comes. It is pretty sad on the surface how far she's fallen from BTW, but it's nothing nobody that's not a Monster hasn't been saying the disaster of the last era so meh.
