How big will Christina's next era be?
Christina Aguilera, one of the most iconic pop artists of our generation, has had two embarrassing flops in a row that it has become a much discussed topic on pop forum ( And even when X makes a flop, she still manages to make an impact. For example, "Bionic" has entered pop culture terminologies and is widely used to describe a commercially flop music venture)
One of the reasons for Lotus' flop was that the failure of the lead single. I guess most people only found the song to be ironic that the title was named "Your Body" and well... let's jut say not many people were interested in her body at the time.
However, this time, X has returned to her former glory and the hugely popular show The Voice also helped to maintain her fame.
I really feel strongly that Christina's next era will be HUGE.
So, what do you expect / want for it? Regarding the genre, style, image, producers, collaborations, etc?

If she release a proper ballad single like Hurt again , especially lead single
I think she will smash harder x2 , she would actually turn charts mainstream genre to ballad
Somehow thats my feeling tho

She might pull a mariah and have a big comeback. I think if she releases something like #beautiful then she'll have commercial success

I can't say too much right now but I can assure the fans and just people in general that shes coming with something big.
All I can really say is soon and the song is amazing, she's never done this style of music before. Look out!

In all honesty, I don't see her having much success from here on out unless she's graced with some miracle a la The Emancipation of Mimi.

Every time I think about what I want for Christina's next album, I can't decide on a specific genre or sound - soul, r&b, jazz, rock, I don't know. What I do know is that I want her to put the pop/electro sound to rest and give us an album that showcases why she's one of the best talents around with the immense creativity I know she's capable of delivering. There's a reason why Stripped was so successful and Back To Basics made her really well respected in the industry.
Whatever she comes up with, I'm ready.

I expect her to go back to basics to something more raw and less commercial. I would like her to venture back into R&B, but I honestly don't mind as long as it's not selling out with generic pop, she has done enough of that. What people expect from Christina is voice, they aren't here for sex bops anymore. "Just a Fool" managing to go Gold without a video outselling "Your Body" proves that, so I hope she goes in that direction musically. Stylewise- I want her to keep it classy to win the public over, nothing too in-your-face. I believe her next era will be big.

People make it seem like she needs to top her past eras, and/or have major success solo again. Why though? People even compare her with Mimi but Moves Like Jagger outsold every single from The Emancipation of Mimi combined. So what's the point? I'm fine with minimal successes like Bionic, and Lotus as long as her side projects like Burlesque (movie, and music), Jagger, and Feel This Moment keep her mega success alive.

She needs to do a pop rock album. I want with a P!nk or Kelly Clarkson kinda vibe. I think her voice would fit that nicely

May I ask you your affiliation with Christina or her record label that would give you such information? Or are you just going by a feeling?
If Christina has her work ethic back where she puts her all in her album, promos well. Not just performances/interviews and stuff, but a team that's on top of things. Media etc, then I can see her having decent success again.
If she doesn't care, then neither will the public.
I enjoyed Lotus for its cute sassy bops, but I need something more.

I just finished up at RCA as one of the temporary musical directors for a few artist's albums though I didn't get to work on Christina's because she has already started her new album recording and visual consulting. I heard only one song from my whole time there out of her and it sounds very orchestral/mystical(?) but very poppish. It has..idk I really can't explain it. It sounds epic though.
Like I said guys, like nothing she's ever done before!

I can foresee it being really big, but it really depends on the lead single and what she decides to do with it. She needs a fun, uptempo song that isn't about sex, and she actually needs to promote it.
