However I trust Bey,she has never gone that route and I hope she stays that way.

Ya even when Beyonce wasn't a legend her music has never been generic. I doubt she'll start now. I really hope she doesn't start now. Although 5 is sure to be more pop than 4. Beyonce's only generic songs have not been the first/second singles anyway (except If I Were a Boy but that's not generic as much as just obvious pop). Irreplaceable was not generic also but it was not risky at all, although it certainly started a trend of those sassy, guitar driven songs like Take a Bow, With You, Hate How Much I Love You, Tattoo, etc. I'd also maybe say that while it slays, Halo is slightly generic in a post Bleeding Love-esque way. And then there is BTINH which I don't want to talk about. I'm glad that even Beyonce's "generic" songs are incredibly individual. Though they cannot compare to how different Crazy in Love, Deja Vu, Ring the Alarm, Single Ladies and RTW were from pop music at the time of their release.

It's so embarrassing to see Eminem going that route with Rihanna. But i know Beyonce would never so i'm not worried at all. Even if she flops 235345 times but makes amazing music that she loves i will still stand right beside her proudly

Does anyone else hear similarities in the hook of The Monster and Runway by Beyonce? I can't be the only one. When I first heard it I knew it sounded familiar and thought it was an Alicia Keys song I was thinking of a few minutes later I realized I was thinking of Runway.
