Her recent album sold poorly in many countries WW and only her recent tour is successful, so it kinda doesn't make her global. People are not for her music, considering her singles' chartings.
It's weird, she has all that fans around the world, they go at her concerts, but GP is not for her.

Unapologetic had 2 singles and 2 videos and it sold very well, without any promo besides performances of these singles. TTT promo was messy too.
Basically Rihanna doesn't promote her albums in the way Beyonce does,
yet she still sell the same and her latest album opened with the highest number ever.
