iTunes chart is some kind of rolling chart. 24 hours(ish) probably. Though all the rules are unclear.
If 1D are at 114% (with their two versions) and Lorde is at 17%....... and Lorde is selling at a rate of about 225k for the week (32k a day). That would mean that so far today 1D have sold about 7-8 times what Lorde sold in the last 24 hours.
That puts their sales so far at around 150k+ (mostly from their pre-orders) by my estimation.
Obviously it is not 100% accurate since there are other retailers besides itunes..... and I am basing that off the Billboard charts.
I think you are right. I also think they already made ~150K so far.

A guy on another forum who does calculations/predictions on the digital chart (he is always very accurate) said 1D has sold approx 190k and Gaga 120k. I'm guessing most of it are from pre orders but I don't know.

Good thing DWUW is coming now, she saved the ARTPOP era with that choice. Venus is a great song as I have stated before, but would have been a terrible single choice. It did very well for a promo single though!
When an artist releases a promotional single, everyone who has pre-ordered the album automatically gets the promotional single as a download. That's why you see these promotional singles gain large numbers; all of a sudden, many thousands of people are getting their automatic downloads.
It's also why you see dark red updates after (usually) half a day. The influx of purchases almost completely dry up and thus, the other songs on the chart who are being purchased at a constant rate start closing the daily sale gap.
