It's not global warming. It's normal to go swimming in Canada in the summer and it always has been.
I just don't like people thinking that all of Canada is such a cold country when I couldn't even go snowboarding in winter 2011 because there was no snow.

October has been so random. It was 22C (72F) the other day, and 20C (68F) yesterday. But we got hit by a nasty winter storm today with an overnight low of -11C.
once I was stuck waiting 45 minutes for a bus in winnipeg at -40C (no windchill, actual temperature), I though I was gonna die, I did not call a cab because I thought if I pulled my hands off my jacket they would freeze istantly
another time I had hypothermia, I was in the country in February and the car was about 15 minutes walking away... I was out for about 30 minutes but I wasn't covered well, it was -20C but with strong wind... I started feeling very dizzy and I thought I was gonna die, I started walking towards the car and I made it... I wasn't alone but still it would have been hard for the other person to carry me if I fainted...

if I were you at that time, I could've died I'm much smaller so I lose heat quicker and I usually just go out alone

Guess it's not fair to just generalize the whole country though.
I go into that corner store all the time. It's the no frills plaza that they just renovated.
