We're halfway through our 2nd 6 weeks and I hate it. I'm doing well in all my classes but these kids make me wish I took Pre-AP and AP classes. I think I'm disliked in all my classes for no logical reason but I kind of like it

Some of the students will look at me in a sly manner whenever I finish my work (normally I'm first) or answer a question that the teacher asks. They look at me as if I'm crazy just because I do what I'm supposed to. It's weird.

They get all loud and boasty whnever they get something right or do well, but when it's someone else they try to bring them down

They are just jealous! It's sadly normal that students who work hard get picked by the rest. It should fade away soon tho.

I'm having so many options.

One of my options is going to a college-ready/math and science school near this university but I'm not really sure. I don't wanna wear uniform again for 4 years. I want to be myself and wear what is appropriate for school.

There is this high school near the school I currently go to but the campus is too huge.

Another high school is in a neighboring city and its promising.


Does it get better is it better than MS? Do the kids get mature?

I think you should take the option that will benefit you more in the long run. Think of all the things each of the schools has to offer.

As for the bolded, it all depends. I think the kids get even more immature, especially when they become Freshman because they're feeling themselves just because they're finally in HS. If you take Honors/Pre-AP/AP classes I think that you'll find less immature kids.

I don't think people get more immature. I think people get more mature but to very varying degrees. It's not like there will be an instantaneous change the first day of high school. But over time of course people mature.
