The snippet for WIR definitely doesn't show the flawlessness of the song. I was like "what, why is this mediocre track without melody opening the album?" But in full the song is perfect. I think it might be the best original track on WIR and one of the best songs Kelly wrote during last 5 or years. Winter Dreams are great as well tho! It's so hard to say which one is the best one because all the original tracks are amazing tbh. If 6th pop album will have songs like those 5 Xmas songs, it can snatch easily AOTY.

Wikipedia says that Ronnie will be there so it's clear that she will sing Baby It's Cold Outside and Silent Night. I kinda think/hope she will open with 4 Carats or My Favorite Things as a greedy lady and then she will change as the story will progress. I don't know how many songs will be there but let's say 6 or 7, so I think she will sing (in no particular order): Baby It's Cold Outside, Silent Night, 4 Carats, Wrapped In Red, Underneath The Tree, Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, White Christmas.

Flop you. Please Come Home For Christmas is flawless. Baby It's Cold Outside is the worst one. But after a few listens to the album I find it very hard to say that any of the songs is bad.

The most famous artist who gifts a Christmas album to his or her fans this year is Kelly Clarkson. Although she is currently working on her first country album and she got married a few days ago, she found enough time to record 13 songs for her Christmas album along with Greg Kurstin. To well-known classics like White Christmas, Silent Night or Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas Clarkson added a cover of Imogen Heap's Just For Now and most importantly five original songs, which she wrote with Kurstin, Aben Eubanks or Cathy Dennis. The guests on the album hint that Clarkson is still woking on her country album - she sings Baby It's Cold Outside with country singer Ronnie Dunn and two ladies Reba McEntire and Trisha Yearwood helped her with Silent Night. The lead single is Underneath The Tree and you can find a few snippets on the singer's youtube account.

BTW, they listed WIR as second most interesting/significant release this week, Arcade Fire are 3rd. (first is some Czech artist).

It is to Kelly Clarkson's credit that she waited a decade to deliver a seasonal platter, but 2013's Wrapped in Red is worth the wait; a testament to her confidence as an interpreter. Generally, the 14 songs here emphasize Clarkson's skills as a full-throated diva -- the arrangements are bold and brassy, as is her delivery -- but when the tempo slows and the arrangements scale back, she's perhaps even more alluring, turning "Blue Christmas" into a sweet fireside crawl and effortlessly overshadowing the overmatched Ronnie Dunn on "Baby It's Cold Outside." Clarkson's selections favor the bold -- there aren't many carols here, these are primarily secular holiday tunes, and she doesn't resist Vegas glitz, giving "My Favorite Things" a bit of a gaudy makeover -- but she fares well in this setting, always sounding like the strongest element in the mix.
