Mulholland Drive is a very difficult movie to appreciate. I remember when I watched for the first time, I was wtf was this, but then I read some stuff about it then watched again paying more attention the the plot details, then you get something.The way he constructed the movie like a jigsaw was kinda brilliant.
Yeah tbh I don't think I would have ever picked up on the prostitution angle and whole meaning without the 10 Clues.
I didn't even remember this scene! God, it's been so long since I watched it, even if it's one of my favorite movies now.
At that time I had no idea what I was in for - I just saw Nicole and some people discussing it here and thought it was interesting. It blew me away and now Lynch is one of my favorite directors.
I wonder whether it would've been even better as a TV show, as originally planned. Twin Peaks slays.
