What in the hell is going on in here? While Hilary has been away from the music world since 2007 with a studio album, all she needs is promo and a radio friendly single and she should be good. She has done a good job at keeping her name out there and now she is a WOMAN, she is not a girl anymore. Plus, nobody is thinking she will pull in big numbers so whatever. yeah of course like every artist's fan we expect a huge success from her next album. But like said above, a gold single and a gold album is good enough just like Dignity, it went gold but it's her BEST album to date. Yes, Hil has been making great music all this time but its her label that was at fault. I belive self-titled could have had more than 3 singles if they promote it in an organized manner with a longer time frame. Dignity was successful imo, it had 2 #1 singles on the chart (tho its not the Hot 100). See, this proves that Hil isnt a FLOP actually, her LABEL is a flop.

We have to do OUR parts too. Buying her song on iTunes, making sure she gets the streaming points by watching the video over and over and requesting the song on the radio. I am very excited and cannot wait to really start promoting Hilary's music. Yeah, I hope the lead single can go Top 20 but I won't be disappointed of it doesn't. I just want the music to be well received from a critical standpoint and go Gold, or at least a little bit better than Dignity.

With Love was close to top 20. Don't forget streaming is a big part on Hot 100 now, she definitely can score a top 20 hit
I bought THREE copies of PRISM so far, so if her label is smart enough, they better pull out like 3-4 versions of the album to suck the coins from stans like me and score a big debut

yep. I bought one from iTunes, one Walmart exclusive version and one HMV exclusive version

I think when the Queen comes back they should do it too like, an Walmart exclusive, an HMV / Target exclusive, or make several covers like Bangerz because I know many Miley stans bought FIVE copies of Bangerz just because of the different covers

I still can't believe that With Love managed to peak at #24 on the Hot 100 with minimal airplay and a #3 peak on iTunes. Queen They should have pushed the Slim Thug remix to radio. Don't forget, one SYTYCD performance also allowed for Stranger to chart on the Hot 100.

I'm content with a top 18 on Pop radio, top 20 on iTunes, a top 40 on the Hot 100, at least a gold selling single and a gold certified album. I just want them to actually try to make this album a success and release at least 3 full-fledged singles.

I think her first single will do Top 20 on BB hot 100. And I have a feeling it will go top 5 on iTunes. Maybe I'm being too optimistic, but I just have a feeling the gp will be HERE for her comeback because of nostalgia. The video will get a good amount of views for the same reason. Us Duff stans just really have to promote HARD for it. I have a feeling that the Queen will become a trending topic effortlessly once her first single drops and that will help inform people of her comeback.

But Hilary/her team need to make a lot of effort on their end too. The song also needs to be catchy, which Hilary is good at. And I agree with Stranger that her team will give Hilary some good promotion, at least I hope.

I see you guys keep saying that you want her single to go gold. Is it really that hard to get a platinum single nowadays? I see so many songs that chart within the top 40 that go platinum easily. Sure it'll take a few months to get there, but it happens.
