Stanning aside, everything we've heard from ARTPOP sounds better than anything from prism, except maybe Dark Horse. And even then, it can't compete to Grammy Dreams or Manicure and hopefully the studio version of Gypsy

Venus sounds so desperate. One would imagine she's been irrelevant for a decade and that was her cheap attempt at a comeback. It sounds like she's trying to prove she can be fun after everyone has been saying she takes herself too seriously, but it doesn't come together at all.
People go after Miley for acting black, but someone needs to come for Gaga because it seems like parts of Artpop were inspired by discovering RuPaul's Drag Race and watching Paris is Burning, and like, thinking drag queens are soo totally cool and wanting to dress up like one. The low points of Artpop are all coming from her playing dress up (the quick change and wig drama performances like the Wizard of Oz one and this song that sounds like something on RuPaul's Drag Race they have to make a fake commercial to.)
The main reason why she's probably pushing this song is because she's produced it. Her ego has really kinda killed her career. Gypsy next single please!
ARTPOP is shaping up to be a great album and Gags has given us lots of great performances this era and she's delivered in terms of MV and imagery too. Who cares if she's pretentious?

madonna's first 4 albums all sounded the same instrument-wise like, the first two albums are very similar except LAV is slightly more pop, true blue had more hooks and bigger choruses but it was still the same funk rock-pop. true blue and cherish are also very similar

Katy has never been an album seller (unless she pollutes the world with promo) so we can't really act surprised.
I know the whole "female MJ" thing is a joke, but I find it kind of sexist. Why does the female MJ have only a tiny fraction of the success, impact and talent as the male equivalent? Surely girls can do better than that.
